I am a creative, expressive and big feelings person by nature who loves to build relationships with everyone around me. Is it any wonder I found my way into Photography? Meeting new clients is one of my favorite parts of this job! This lively part of me is why I love capturing connection so much, because I love CREATING it in my life. I have always been fascinated with learning new people, different cultures, new ways of creative expression and discovering places. Those aspects of life fill my cup right up!

Once I decided to start Ellaway House Photography, I self taught my way around the camera and started photographing friends. That was a lot fun, but I needed a lot of practice. After years of honing in on the education side of photography and dipping my toes in photographing clients in real life, I decided to go head first with my business in 2019 and have not stopped chasing my passion for capturing connection since. I am continuously learning and improving upon myself in all aspects of life, which includes Photography.

When I am not photographing, you can catch me mostly having dance parties around the house with my two best gifts in life – my children, as well as my two rescue pups Zeek and Maggie. I have a new found passion for ballroom dancing (only took me 32 years to discover this passion, never too late!), and love to dance salsa and cha-cha. I am a foodie who enjoys creating dishes for those I love, a guitar player in training (the very beginning stages currently!), Apple Music lover/playlist maker (everything from Purple Disco Machine to Queen to music in languages I don’t understand) and an avid traveler.
